New results from TDCOSMO on the Hubble tension. They find H0 = 71.1 (+2.4, -2.3) km/s/Mpc (3.3% precision) from 11 time-delay gravitational lenses, now accounting for the mass-sheet degeneracy.

The result is independent of the local distance ladder and remains essentially unchanged when supernova data are excluded entirely.

While the baseline TDCOSMO result differs from Planck by 1.6σ, combining TDCOSMO with other independent late-time probes yields a 3.7σ Hubble tension without using supernovae, or 2.7σ when excluding the entire local distance ladder.

The Hubble tension therefore persists independently of SH0ES and supernova-based measurements, with the new TDCOSMO results providing further support for a higher H0.
